Curriculum-aligned content generation · Built on NotebookLM

Валошкі.by is an AI content system for teachers, tutors and parents. It turns approved Belarusian school programs into curriculum-aligned lessons, presentations, workbooks and podcast-style audio.

Problem

Teachers rebuild the same materials from scratch every year. Generic AI output is fast but drifts away from the approved program, which makes it unusable in a classroom.

Context

Built for teachers, tutors and parents working with the Belarusian school curriculum, published as a public Telegram channel of ready-to-use materials.

Approach

  • Ground every generation in the approved program document instead of prompting from scratch.
  • Use NotebookLM as the retrieval surface, so the source stays visible and the output stays anchored to it.
  • Standardise output formats — lesson, presentation, workbook, audio — so materials are consistent week to week.
  • Publish through Telegram, where the teacher audience already reads.

Tools

  • NotebookLM
  • LLM prompt system
  • Telegram
  • Document-grounded generation

What worked

  • Grounding in the program document keeps generated material curriculum-aligned.
  • Podcast-style audio turned out to be the format people engage with most outside a classroom.
  • Fixed output templates removed most of the per-lesson prompting work.

What didn't work

  • Ungrounded prompting produced plausible lessons that did not match the approved program.
  • Long documents needed splitting before generation stayed on topic.

Result

A running content system publishing curriculum-aligned materials to a public Telegram channel.

What I learned

For education, the constraint is not creativity — it is fidelity to a source document. Retrieval is what makes AI output usable in a classroom.
